Gabriel Mendez
Gabriel Mendez is an intellectual property attorney graduated from Universidad de la Republica (UdelaR).
He founded Mendez IP with the purpose of helping small entrepreneurs and companies on their trademark, patent, copyright and IP portfolios matters.
His practice focuses on preparation of applications, supervision during the prosecution period, and obtaining the final resolution that meets clients’ standards and needs.
He is also in charge of filing oppositions, preparation and submission of responses to office actions (OAs), filing of appeals and non-use cancellation actions with the PTO (DNPI), and filing of nullity actions with the Administrative Court (TCA).
Prior to the foundation of Mendez IP, Gabriel has gained experience working in IP law firms from Uruguay and United States. He is member of INTA (International Trademark Association) and the Uruguayan Bar Association (CAU).
Prior to practicing law, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology also from UdelaR.
